About Square Logix

Square Logix is a Commodore 128 logic puzzle game written by Leonard Morris and published in COMPUTE!'s Gazette Issue 60, June 1988. The game runs exclusively in C128 native mode using the 40-column display.

Players must arrange squares or tiles in the correct configuration using keyboard input. The game is entirely keyboard-driven — no joystick is required. Leonard Morris served as both coder and graphics artist on this title.

This game is preserved here as part of the Morris Games Archive, a family preservation effort maintained by Jaymes Morris (Leonard's grandson).

How to Play

Starting: Click Start Game to initialize the C128 emulator. When the BASIC prompt appears, load the game from disk using the LOAD command shown above the screen.

Controls: Square Logix uses keyboard controls — no joystick is needed. Specific key bindings will be shown in-game once the program loads.

Objective: Arrange all squares into the correct order or pattern to solve each puzzle. Logic and planning are more important than speed.

Tip: Click inside the emulator canvas after it loads to ensure keyboard input is captured by the emulator.
